This seems like it would be quite fun, if not for the difficulty. For me, the game goes too fast for me to be able to understand what I'm doing, and specifically, what I'm doing wrong, so I feel like I'm just constantly failing and I'm not sure how to "git gud", as they say. Plus, the (seeming) necessity of trying to route out how to get all the leaves felt daunting. If the gamespeed was slowed down somewhat as a difficulty setting, that'd be great. This feels like it'd be a good arcade-style minigame, with the leaves you collect unlocking new outfits for the tanuki girl or something like that, but that might just be my personal preference in games.
Hehee glad there’s something redeemable here. Yeah first plan was for maybe a proper platformer game with this section in the end or something, but was so stretched for time this jam I just made the minigame. Like in the Reindeer Initiation the inspiration was an old game called Winterbells. It felt pretty good when I playtested, but again I’m overfamiliar with the controls. Difficulty setting or maybe multiple levels would have been great to ease in the difficulty. Again wanted to pad the playtime since there’s not much here, so made it a “git gud” game ahah. Unlocks would be awesome, though I think they’d work better in a basic platformer so you could see them better, at the moment this zooms out so much you wouldn’t see much.
No problem. Honestly, this isn't generally my genre, I'm more of a precision or puzzle platformer guy than a synonym-for-"high-speed"-that-starts-with-p platformer guy. And that's when I do play platformers at all. But, I'm always happy to play more from you! And speaking of, Alien Hypno Shooter update and Voodoo Game 2 when?
Side note: After using the cheat to see the ending, I've gotta say: surprised it isn't facesitting. That'd make a lot more sense with a pair of high-velocity tanuki balls aimed directly at that fox's face.
Aww yeah not everyones cup of tea, but they are pretty simple to make so ended up with this concept again. Aaah I can’t come up with a word that starts with a p for that, and it’s killing me haha. Not a native speaker so my vocabulary is a bit lacking.
AlienHypnoShooter I haven’t touched since the last update, but hopefully some day. Voodoo2 I have arts done for the shopkeep and the first patron. Not sure about the patron though and I really want to nail the first one since people really liked the original game. But I’m really happy with the shopkeep and I’m excited to show her off one day. Latest progeress I’ve made was with Hypnothick, got it running on mobile pretty much, but I think I’ll pair it up with a content update to not disappoint peeps and maybe get a visibility boost from a larger update.
Aaw ahah that’s brilliant. That would have been great if you finish off with like half the leaves. Wanted the final one to be pretty saucy to not disappoint, and people have been really into the big futa on femboy stuff.

Aww yeah I think a lot of why the game was a hit was because of her, but I kinda feel their story is done, they have their partner doing the voodoo stuff for her. And I like coming up with new characters.
First I had a long dragon lady clerk stretching up for an item from a top shelf which I kinda liked but I think people wouldn’t be satisfied by a backshot with just ass and some sideboob, may use her later though. The current one is a thick giraffe mommy with big boobs mid shopping at the cash register.
Don’t think I’ll go for any transformations, but thinking you can buy an item from the shop that makes them nude, emperors new clothes style or maybe an xray vision. I think that would be a cool upgrade to the first game. Also toying with an idea that you wouldn’t mess with just a voodoo doll, but you could purchase different items. Stuff that represents boobs, a dick, feet etc. Wouldn’t need that much more character art but I think it’d make a big difference to the player that they are focusing directly on some body part.
The patrons would leave a personal item with a note what they are into at the shop. You choose from those and return home to toy with it. You could go overboard right away with them like in the first game but they wouldn’t return to the shop, you’d have to ease them in and fulfill their requests. Their requests would get more intense and maybe they give more personal items which would power up the voodoo.
Thinking I’ll call it Voodoo shop assistant, or Poppet shop assistant or Witches assistant. There was that one comment that called out poppets not being voodoo and it got a upvote or two so I’m not sure if I’m insulting someone calling it voodoo. But I think the voodoo name is catchier and most people associate the dolls with it.
Hehe Hypnothick has a steady playerbase and people have been asking for an update. I feel it’s in a really good spot too, so I’m thinking an alternative route to finish the game, escape room style.
Each leaf increases the jump height and movement speed, but the top ones are deliberately a bit long way apart so you kinda have to get all the lower ones first, dunno if it’s a good play pattern but that’s what I ended up with. Tweaked them a bit closer in the patch, but I guess it’s still pretty tough.
Yeah figured that might happen, but with reports of it being too hard I wanted a cheat there. Thought that you might give up since it’s a bit long walk. Maybe needs some other cheat method, or just simply make the game easier ahah.
I know my games are sometimes a bit convoluted and hard, but I wan’t a bit more playtime. It’s hard to balance though when you have so little content and only the difficulty to play with. Thanks for trying it out and powering trough!

How do i get 80 leaves if i cant get the second one? Control says WASD and mouse, does WS do something? I am dumb? Why cant i see where i am going? The first ending is very nice but i think you might have overshot the difficulty.
Sorry, no you are not dumb. Are you using the double jump? I never explained but if you hit a leaf you can jump again, that should reach the next ones. But it’s still really tough and the zoom isn’t helping. I’ll change the zoom and tone the difficulty down and add a hint if you hit just one leaf. Wanted it to be a bit of a challenge but never wanted to insult anyone. So sorry, this was a really quick project, didn’t think of everything and test thoroughly.
EDIT: And yeah wrongfully said WASD when only A and D do anything, the controls info was the last thing I added and I was quite tired
i do agree with the other commenter who mentioned the zooming in being a tad inconvenient, but pretty cute! a little difficult but i managed to find a workable route eventually. always look forward to your projects.
Yeah maybe I’ll make the zoom in slower, so if you wanna see the sprites you wait a bit on the ground, but if you immediately start jumping the zoom in wouldn’t basically happen. All of them and then drop on the fox. There’s 80. You jump higher and move faster the more leaves you collect, so you need to collect all/most of the lower ones first. Sorry if it’s too hard, I always a struggle with difficulty. It felt pretty good but I’ve played it so many times. Had a third ending planned for getting half of the leaves but ran out of time and steam. Lemme know if you manage to beat it, might have to tone it down if it’s too hard.
It's kinda difficult from the start when the screen is too close so you do not know where to go, unless you have played it for a lot. It's a great game tho :D <3

I'm not quite sure how to reach the higher leaves after I reach the gap. Maybe it's a skill issue, but after several tries I haven't managed it.
Edit: One time I managed, but the next few times I couldn't. Is there a hidden mechanic at play?
